Position Description
The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.

Your future duties and responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Developer to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will focus on the design, development, and deployment of a secure and scalable application. This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Application Development: Develop and maintain mobile and web applications using modern technologies including React, Java, Kotlin, Swift, and TypeScript.
2. Cloud Solutions: Implement and manage cloud-based solutions leveraging AWS, Azure, and Docker to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
3. Code Quality & Security: Write high-quality, maintainable code with a strong emphasis on security and performance.
4. Source Code Management: Use GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
5. CI/CD & Automation: Ensure best development practices by establishing robust CI/CD pipelines, comprehensive testing frameworks, and automated deployments.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Development Manager and other stakeholders to align development efforts with business objectives.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

1. Full-Stack Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in full-stack development, with hands-on experience in React, Node.js, Java, Kotlin, Swift, and TypeScript.
2. Cloud & DevOps: Proven experience with cloud computing and DevOps practices using AWS, Azure, and Docker.
3. Security Acumen: Strong understanding of security protocols and best practices, including familiarity with tools like Cloudflare, SonarQube, and CrowdStrike.
4. Collaboration Tools: Proficiency in project collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Slack.
5. Mobile Development: Ability to develop and optimise mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms.
