Senior Cloud and Data Architect

Location: London

Employment Type: Permanent

Responsibilities:

1. 16–18 years' experience in DWBI, Big Data, and Cloud Technologies.
2. Hands-on expertise in at least 2 Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks) and Big Data processing (e.g., Apache Spark, Beam).
3. Proficiency in key technologies like BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse, Pub/Sub, Kinesis, Event Hubs, Kafka, Dataflow, Airflow, and ADF.
4. Strong ETL and data modeling skills.
5. Proven ability to design and implement effective database solutions, ensure compliance with regulations, and oversee data migration from legacy systems.
6. Experience in resiliency, failover, monitoring, and defining deployment/alerting strategies.
7. Ability to lead RfP responses, act as SPOC for technical discussions, and deliver client solutions with entrepreneurial initiative.
8. Strong consulting skills, excellent communication, and ability to write POVs on emerging technologies.
9. Good-to-have: Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Terraform, StackDriver).

Requirements:

1. Deep understanding of database structures, SQL development, data modeling, and analytics technologies (Columnar, NoSQL, visualization).
2. Knowledge of SDLC, project management, and system design/testing techniques.
3. Outstanding problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor architects.
4. Mandatory expertise in at least 2 Hyperscalers (GCP/AWS/Azure) and Big Data tools (e.g., Spark, Beam).
5. Desirable: Experience designing Databricks solutions and familiarity with DevOps tools.
