Overview

Mainsail Group has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cloud Architect to support the Cloud One Program, based at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA.

Location: Hanscom AFB, MA
Job Status: Full-time
Travel: Less than 15%

Responsibilities:

• Lead cloud adoption plans, design applications, and oversee cloud management and monitoring.
• Bridge business objectives and technical possibilities by translating requirements into secure, scalable, and efficient cloud solutions using platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Ensure engineering activities (analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring) meet established requirements (e.g., RMF, DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide).
• Ensure information systems are secure and data is protected from unauthorized access.
• Evaluate all COTS products (hardware and software) for compliance with information assurance standards and ensure security updates are installed and verified.
• Assess potential threats to information systems, from casual intrusions to deliberate attacks aimed at degrading system performance or security.
• Interpret and analyze processing anomalies in complex engineering systems and implement corrective actions.
• Develop, review, and update the System Security Plan (SSP) to align with current RMF controls and compliance status.
• Maintain and understand the mission system’s POA&M.
• Use eMASS for RMF control compliance and POA&M maintenance.
• Develop and review Continuity of Operations (COOP) documentation and related artifacts.
• Validate systems throughout their lifecycle using agile DevSecOps criteria and procedures.
• Develop, review, and approve technical plans, schedules, and documentation.

Technical Skills:

• Experience leading cloud adoption, designing applications, and managing cloud environments.
• Ability to connect business needs with technical solutions, ensuring security, scalability, and efficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably with DoD or Air Force acquisition programs.
• Active US security clearance required.

Security Clearance:

• Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

Education:

• Master's degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.

Certifications:

• Active CISSP or CISM is highly preferred.
