Job summary

Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join the Centre for Bone and Joint Health, collaborating with the Pragmatic Clinical Trials Unit. You will lead trial management for an NIHR-funded study, overseeing setup to reporting, supervising trial coordinators, and ensuring GCP and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
• Substantial experience managing clinical trials, ideally multi-centre studies.
• Strong governance knowledge including regulatory approvals, ethics submissions and ICH-GCP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee trial delivery from study set-up to reporting, ensuring high quality and compliance.
• Supervise trial coordinators and manage trial documentation and processes.
• Liaise with investigators, clinical teams, trial sites and regulatory bodies to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop SOPs and training for research staff; support resource planning.
• Represent the Trial Management function at key operational and management meetings.
