Job summary

Discover International, partnered with a UK-based CRO, is seeking a Clinical Trial Manager to lead the operational delivery of Phase I–IV trials for pharmaceutical and biotech sponsors. You will manage cross-functional teams, timelines, budgets, and the start-up through close-out processes.

In addition to line-managing CRAs/CRCs, you will serve as the primary sponsor contact, ensure regulatory compliance (ICH-GCP, MHRA guidance), and drive risk-based monitoring and vendor oversight to maintain

Qualifications

• 4+ years in clinical trial management within CRO/pharma/biotech.
• Proven line management/mentoring experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP and UK/EU trial regulations.
• Experience with study budgets and vendor oversight.
• Experience in oncology, rare disease, or cardiovascular trials.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end trial management for assigned studies, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
• Line-manage CRAs/CRCs, overseeing site monitoring plans and performance.
• Serve as primary point of contact for sponsors, providing status updates and risk escalation.
• Develop and manage study budgets, timelines, and vendor/CRO oversight plans.
• Ensure inspection readiness and compliance with ICH-GCP, MHRA, and sponsor SOPs.
• Lead site selection, feasibility assessments, and study start-up activities.
• Chair internal and sponsor study team meetings.
