Job description

We are looking to recruit a clinical technologist to join our team in our modern and excellently equipped department.

You will predominantly undertake treatment planning with aspects of equipment quality assurance. Candidates must be registered with RCT or HCPC.

The role is primarily in support of treatment planning, with aspects of quality assurance and other duties. You will be registered with RCT or HCPC.

This post will participate in all aspects of the Radiotherapy Physics Service, including carrying out highly complex treatment planning, treatment machine quality control, pre-treatment patient QA, introducing new techniques, and carrying out applied research. There may also be the opportunity to be involved in the brachytherapy service.

The postholder also provides expert advice to consultant oncologists and other healthcare professionals to resolve problems with complex radiotherapy equipment and treatment plans.
