Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker to enhance patient care. This role involves working closely with nursing staff and contributing to the well-being of patients with a range of responsibilities to ensure high standards of care. The successful candidate will have a proven background in healthcare, effective communication skills, and be able to cope with the demands of a busy environment. Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker should actively contribute to the health and well-being of patients, staff and service users and be able to communicate effectively with sensitivity and compassion. They should be able to work independently within their sphere of nursing while under the supervision of registered nurses. Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Workers should demonstrate a level of skill and understanding which enables them to undertake specific skills and tasks delegated by the registered nurse and in accordance with relevant procedures, guidelines and policies at UHNM. They will be required to undertake both routine and specially identified tasks for which they have been trained and assessed as competent.

Essential criteria

• Educated to GSCE level or Level 2 equivalent, including Maths and English
• Hold a Care Certificate
• Evidence of professional development activity undertaken in relevant areas
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft office: Word, Excel, access and Power-point
