This involves using complex imaging and measurement equipment for direct patient assessment. The post-holder will assume a high degree of autonomy, taking responsibility for reporting investigation results to referring clinicians and advising patients on appropriate actions. They will also support scientific and clinical activities in vascular ultrasound, participate in research and development within the Section, and contribute to staff and student training.

Responsibilities include participating in the provision of a safe diagnostic vascular ultrasound service, performing highly specialist investigations suitable for Level 7 of the Healthcare Science Career framework, including within the Department, outpatient clinics, Llandough Hospital, and portable scans.
