A large NHS Trust in England is seeking a Senior Clinical Scientist to join the Transplantation Laboratory. The role involves managing laboratory activities, leading quality assurance, and contributing to on-call services for transplant programmes. A Vacancy at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified and highly motivated individual to join our busy laboratory as a Senior Clinical Scientist. The Transplantation Laboratory at Manchester Royal Infirmary supports regional kidney, pancreas, islet, heart, lung, cornea and haematopoietic progenitor cell transplant programmes and HLA typing for disease diagnosis and management.
The post holder will have specialist responsibility for support the laboratory provides for Clinical services. A requirement of the post is to participate in the out of hours’ on-call rota which supports the solid organ transplant programmes. Study towards higher qualifications and participation in research and innovation relevant to the needs of the service will be encouraged. A national interest in H&I affairs would be an advantage.
