Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Research Nurse to join the Research & Development Team at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. You will coordinate and manage a clinical research portfolio supporting patients in trials across local hospital networks.

You will screen patients, maintain protocol knowledge, and assist with recruitment and data collection while acting as a key contact for patients and families with information and advocacy to help informed consent decisions.

Responsibilities

• Screening and identifying eligible patients for trials
• Maintaining knowledge of study protocols and supporting recruitment in outpatient and inpatient settings
• Monitoring patient progress and collecting accurate trial data
• Acting as a contact for patients and families to provide information, support and advocacy
• Assisting with ethics and approval submissions and protocol reviews
• Advising on specialised equipment and resources and ensuring ethical standards
