Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is recruiting two Senior Research Nurses to join the Research & Development Team, supporting patients in clinical trials across local sites and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.

The role includes coordinating trial portfolios, recruiting participants, administering some research drugs, monitoring effects, and ensuring ethical standards throughout the research process. A 15% High-Cost Area supplement applies pro rata with set min and max payments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage a clinical research portfolio with NIHR/ENHT and multidisciplinary teams.
• Screen and identify eligible patients, maintain study protocol knowledge, and support recruitment in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Monitor patient progress, collect accurate trial data, and provide information and advocacy to patients and families.
