Main duties of the job
  • Join our clinical and research teams as a Senior Clinical Research Fellow in Renal Medicine.
  • Gain clinical nephrology experience on the ward and in outpatient settings.
  • Carry out crucial roles in clinical research.
  • Support from a team including Consultants from Wessex Kidney Centre, Portsmouth.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
Your Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

  • Participate as a sub-investigator in clinical trials at UHS and Dorset County Hospital.
  • Engage in the NIHR Associate Principal Investigator Scheme.
  • Complete the UHS Clinical Research Fellow training Programme.
  • Inpatient work in renal medicine and GIM.
  • Gain experience in renal outpatient clinics.
  • Participate in audits and departmental educational meetings.

  • Excellent communication skills with team and patients.
  • Good insight into personal abilities and limitations.
  • Enthusiasm and interest in renal medicine career.
Additional Information

Appointment under local contractual terms for Trust-appointed (non-training) doctors. Educational framework equivalent to training grade doctors with dedicated supervision. CPD support, study leave options, and GMC revalidation requirements apply. Salary: MT04 £61,825 plus applicable enhancements. GMC registration and right to work in the UK are essential. Interviews TBC, closing date 3rd June 2025.
