Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Senior Clinical Research Associate for its Clinical Functional Service Partnership (CFSP) in the United Kingdom. You will work embedded within sponsor teams, gaining exposure across programs and therapeutic areas while benefiting from IQVIA’s global infrastructure and career support.

You’ll conduct site visits, ensure data integrity and patient safety, and collaborate with investigators and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• University degree in Life Sciences or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years minimum on-site monitoring experience of clinical trials within CRO/pharma/biotech/healthcare environments.
• Strong knowledge of GCP, ICH guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Willingness to travel up to 40-60% of working time.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site qualification, initiation, monitoring, and close-out visits in line with study protocol, GCP, ICH guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure sites maintain patient safety, data integrity, protocol compliance and study quality.
• Build and maintain relationships with investigators and site personnel, providing guidance and support throughout the study lifecycle.
• Monitor study progress, including regulatory documentation, patient recruitment, data query resolution, and site performance metrics.
• Collaborate with sites to implement and optimize patient recruitment and retention strategies to meet timelines.
• Maintain inspection-ready study documentation (ISF, TMF, monitoring reports, follow-up communications).
• Identify and escalate study risks, site issues and quality concerns with timely resolution.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support study execution and delivery of objectives.
• Mentor and support junior team members through coaching, training and co-monitoring.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and support study start-up, maintenance, close-out, and site financial activities.
