Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust’s National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) in Loughborough is seeking a Band 8a Clinical Psychologist to deliver highly specialist assessments and interventions for patients with musculoskeletal, spinal and brain injuries. The role includes supervision of trainee psychologists, involvement in teaching, and contributing to research within the NRC.

You will be based on-site at the NRC, with opportunity to develop a special interest in rehabilitation psychology

Qualifications

• BPS accredited doctoral qualification in Clinical Psychology.
• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Clinical Psychologist.
• Experience in rehabilitation or NHS settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly specialist Clinical Psychology assessment, intervention and advice to patients and their families.
• Teach and train NRC staff to develop skills and knowledge in psychology.
• Provide direction and clinical supervision to Assistant Psychologists within the team.
• Lead and/or supervise research activities within the clinical psychology team.
• Contribute to planning, development, delivery and evaluation of the service.
