Job summary

A leading healthcare service in Birmingham is seeking a Senior Clinical Psychologist for a permanent, full-time role in their male inpatient rehab service. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions. The ideal candidate will hold HCPC registration and have experience in severe mental health and learning disabilities. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to service developments and support training initiatives.

Job Description:

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Senior Clinical Psychologist to work within a male inpatient rehab service based in Birmingham.

Role snapshot:

The candidate appointed will work within a multi-disciplinary team, and provide psychological assessments, formulations and 1-2-1 therapeutic interventions to any service-users referred.

You will also provide psychological advice and consultation to other professionals, undertake risk assessment and management for individual service use.

You could also support the delivery and development of staff training initiatives. You will also contribute to service developments.

Contract type – permanent

Hours – full time

Experience required:

You must hold HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist. You will also need to have experience working working with severe mental health and/or learning disabilities, as well as physical health issues or cognitive impairments.
