Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Clinical Psychologist (Band 8a), 1.0 WTE, to deliver specialist psychology services to adults and children following major trauma. The post covers Leeds General Infirmary and St James’s University Hospital, including inpatient and outpatient work with the Major Trauma MDT.

Qualifications

• Permanent post, open to Band 8a psychologists and Band 7 with post-qualification experience in physical health.
• Role involves inpatient assessment/intervention and outpatient work following major trauma.
• Part of Major Trauma, Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgery psychology team with potential supervision duties.

Responsabilités

• Provide inpatient psychological assessment and intervention to major trauma patients.
• Support adjustment, rehabilitation and hospital discharge in collaboration with the Major Trauma MDT.
• Conduct psychological assessments, formulations and interventions for outpatients after major trauma.
• Attend team meetings (Wednesdays, monthly) and supervise early career psychologists as appropriate.
