Job summary

The Sarum Community Mental Health Team within Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a senior psychologist to lead psychological care for working-age adults. The role combines assessment, formulation and therapy with supervision and training for colleagues, while supporting service development.

You will supervise trainees and staff, contribute to audits and research, and lead psychotherapy training across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Doctoral clinical psychology or counselling psychology qualification or equivalent.
• Post-qualification and further specialist training in specified interventions.
• HCPC registration and eligibility for Chartered Psychologist status.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy to patients and carers in the Sarum CMHT.
• Offer specialist consultation on formulation and management to non-psychologist colleagues.
• Supervise and line-manage trainee clinicians and junior psychology staff.
• Contribute to audit, research and service development across the Sarum CMHT and Wiltshire PTS.
• Develop and deliver psychological therapy training for multidisciplinary staff.
