Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a senior clinical psychologist to lead psychological provision within a CYP Eating Disorders Day Hospital and Intensive Support at Home service. You will supervise the team, manage a specialist caseload, and drive service development across Staffordshire and Shropshire with some travel.

HCPC registration is required, and you will participate in MDT discussions and senior governance within Care Group and Trust meetings.

Qualifications

• Doctoral-level training in clinical or counselling psychology (BPS-accredited).
• HCPC registration as a practitioner psychologist.
• Experience of working in eating disorders settings.
• Post-doctoral training in CBT-E or related models preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of psychological provision within the day hospital and ED-ISH team.
• Ensure the clinical team uses psychologically based frameworks to inform care for young people.
• Provide advice, consultation and supervision to the clinical team.
• Disseminate psychological research and theory.
• Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions for young people with eating disorders.
• Act as senior clinician to maintain a psychologically safe team culture and effectiveness.
• Participate in or lead service developments.
• Deliver training and consultation internally and to partner agencies.
• Represent the team at senior level within Care Group and Trust meetings.
• Contribute to MDT discussions as part of clinical leadership.
