Job summary

JOBS247 INC LTD is seeking a Band 7 clinical psychologist to lead assessment and formulation for children and young people. The post involves working with a multidisciplinary team including Principal Clinical Psychologists, fellow Band 7s, and assistants to deliver expert psychological care.

Applicants must be HCPC registered, have doctoral level training, and demonstrate substantial post-qualification experience.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered practitioner psychologist.
• Minimum 50 hours clinical supervision over 18 months or as approved by Associate Psychological Services Director.
• Evidence of continuing professional development as required by the HCPC.
• Evidence of substantial post-qualification experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead assessment and formulation of complex presentations, exploring possible neurodevelopmental vulnerabilities and comorbidity.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to inform clinical decisions.
• Provide supervision to assistant psychologists and other team members.
• Contribute to service development and clinical governance.

Professional requirements

• Through having received a minimum of 50 hours clinical supervision of working as a clinical psychologist over a minimum of 18 months or an alternative agreed by the Associate Psychological Services Director
• Additional qualification in at least one therapeutic model, evidence-based for use with this client group
• Evidence of continuing professional development as required by the HCPC
• HCPC registered practitioner psychologist
• Substantial post qualification

• Demonstrate further specialist training and
• Set and interests, as well as the clinical needs of the service
• Doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and Neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the HCPC and British Psychological Society
• The post-holder will contribute to the supervision of assistant psychologists, newly qualified psychologists and also team members from wider professions

Clinical responsibilities

• Be responsible for leading assessment and formulation of complex presentations, exploring possible neurodevelopmental vulnerabilities and/or disorder as well as thoroughly considering wider factors and comorbidity
