Job summary

The Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is recruiting an enthusiastic pharmacist to join the acute medicine unit within the EAC multidisciplinary team. The post offers opportunities to develop clinical knowledge and leadership skills, with potential support to undertake the independent prescribing course.

You will deliver medicine optimisation, work with the MDT on and off the ward, contribute to governance, education, medication safety, and participate in quality improvement projects

Qualifications

• Registered pharmacist with valid registration.
• May be supported to complete independent prescribing course.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high standard of medicine optimisation, ideally utilising prescribing skills.
• Work closely with the MDT, on & off the ward.
• Support governance, education and medication safety.
• Line manage and provide mentoring, and support with development and objectives.
• Be involved in quality improvement work within acute medicine and publish findings.
