Job summary

General Practice Alliance Ltd. is seeking a Senior Clinical Pharmacist to lead our Grand Union PCN pharmacy team. The role blends advanced clinical practice with leadership, workforce development and service improvement to enhance medicines optimisation across multiple practices.

The position is part-time (24 hours/week) with hybrid working, offering an opportunity to influence patient care at practice and system levels within Northamptonshire.

Qualifications

• GPhC registered pharmacist with Independent Prescriber annotation.
• Experience leading a pharmacy team in primary care.
• Proven ability to supervise pharmacists and support CPD.
• Strong knowledge of medicines optimisation and clinical governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced clinical care including complex medication reviews.
• Lead and develop the PCN pharmacy team with supervision and performance management.
• Collaborate with GP practices and partners to deliver medicines optimisation.
• Support workforce development and CPD within the Training Hub.
• Lead audits and quality improvement in medicines safety and use.
• Maintain accurate patient records with SNOMED codes.
