Would you like the opportunity to work as an integral member of our Dermatology multidisciplinary team to provide a high level of clinical pharmacy care and expertise for dermatology patients treated for a variety of complex medical dermatological conditions?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative pharmacist to join our clinical pharmacy team to work within the dermatology multidisciplinary team at Musgrove Park Hospital.

Main duties of the job

As a specialist pharmacist working as an integral member of the dermatology multidisciplinary team, you'll implement and deliver high quality clinical pharmacy services for patients in Somerset. You will provide a high level of clinical pharmacy care and expertise for dermatology patients treated for a variety of complex medical dermatological conditions, including those treated with biological and other systemic agents.

You'll develop strong links between the pharmacy service and the dermatology service, extending the boundaries of professional pharmacy practice, including direct patient monitoring and prescribing of dermatology treatments including high-cost biological agents as agreed.

Qualifications

• Full current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) Masters degree or equivalent in PharmacyPostgraduate Diploma or MSc in Clinical PharmacyRegistered independent prescriber

Experience

• Demonstrable hospital pharmacy experience delivering clinical pharmacy practice at an advanced level Demonstrable clinical pharmacy experience of general medicine, general surgery (including non-specialist service provision to acute and emergency patients) Experience in clinical training and/or mentoring of pharmacy staffExperience of dispensing medicine for patients and counselling and providing advice for patients/carersA broad knowledge of clinical and pharmacy practice Demonstrable commitment to continuous professional development A thorough knowledge of UK hospital pharmacy practice, care boundary issues and commissioning
