Job overview

We are searching for a Senior Clinical Perfusion Scientist to join the perfusion team at the new Barts Heart Centre. The employing trust will be Barts Health NHS Trust.

Join our extensive adult surgery programme with a hybrid theatre for endovascular procedures. As part of the perfusion team, you will help develop and grow our clinical services and contribute to our perfusion education faculty, supporting teams across various specialties.

Education/Qualifications

  • Full accreditation with SOPGBI
  • Full registration with COPGBI
  • MSc in Perfusion Science
  • Management, Education, and Patient Safety qualifications
  • Leadership training

Skills/Abilities

  • Strong clinical perfusion skills
  • Organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills

Experience

  • Experience with routine and specialist perfusion techniques
  • 2-5 years of clinical perfusionist experience, including some management experience

Knowledge

  • Up-to-date with latest clinical developments
  • Ability to develop protocols and manage emergency situations
  • Deep knowledge of perfusion practices
