A healthcare organization in Fulbourn, Cambridge is looking for a Senior Clinical Nurse to oversee mental health care in a multidisciplinary environment. The candidate will lead care assessments and training junior staff while promoting patient recovery and safety. The role offers competitive pay ranging between £38,682 to £46,580 annually, with a commitment to staff wellbeing and work-life balance.
We are advertising a Senior Clinical Nurse position for our 16-bed mixed Adult Inpatient Recovery Ward (Mulberry 3) on our Fulbourn site in Cambridge with good transport links and free parking. The closing date is 01 October 2025.
Our Recovery Ward is part of the 3-3-3 model. Our three wards work collaboratively to enable patients to access the right care at the right time: Acute Assessment Unit (Mulberry 1) where patients stay up to 3 days, Treatment Ward (Mulberry 2) where patients stay up to 3 weeks, and Recovery Unit (Mulberry 3) where patients stay up to 3 months. Our Mulberry 3 ward provides care for local populations experiencing serious mental illness. We are looking for someone with a commitment to teamwork, a sense of accountability, and an ability to work under pressure.

As a Senior Clinical Nurse you will be responsible for the provision of quality evidence-based nursing advice, support, and care for service users with mental and physical health needs and to their carers within a multidisciplinary setting. You will be responsible for leading on the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
You will also be responsible for identifying and contributing to the training needs of junior registered and unregistered staff and ensure that issues of equality, diversity and rights are dealt with in accordance with good practice and legislation. You will ensure that effective communication pathways exist, and that they act within their sphere of responsibility, leading the night shift in the absence of the Clinical Nurse Specialist, Ward Manager or the designated deputy.
