Phoenix Legal Solicitors in Birkenhead is seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join our growing team. You will manage your own varied caseload from initial investigation through to settlement or litigation, working alongside medical experts, counsel and colleagues to progress claims efficiently.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years' PQE in clinical negligence, strong knowledge of CPR and pre‑action protocols, and excellent drafting and client‑care skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' PQE in clinical/medical negligence.
• Experience independently managing a clinical negligence caseload.
• Strong knowledge of clinical negligence litigation and CPR/pre-action protocols.
• Experience instructing medical experts and counsel.
• Excellent drafting and client-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of clinical negligence claims proactively.
• Assess liability, causation and quantum; develop case strategies.
• Obtain and analyse medical records and other evidence.
• Instruct medical experts and counsel as needed.
• Draft Letters of Claim, statements, schedules and other docs.
• Conduct settlement negotiations and progress proceedings.
• Ensure deadlines and procedural requirements are met.
• Maintain accurate case records and time entries.
• Provide clear, practical advice to clients and colleagues.
• Support junior team members and contribute to department growth.
