Job description
Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a registrar to join the Acute Medicine team at Broomfield Hospital, part of Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. The appointee will have responsibility for patients within the Acute Medicine Service.

Service Description

The Acute Medical Service consists of a 52 bedded Assessment Ward, a 7 day Same Day Emergency Care Unit (SDEC) and our Short Stay Unit. Patients are referred either by Primary Care, Community nursing teams, outpatient clinics or the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities
  • Multi-disciplinary teamwork is envisaged as a key component of the working of this Trust and will involve Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) discussion with other colleagues
  • Continuing responsibility for the care of patients in his/her charge, including all administrative duties associated with patient care
  • Undertaking ward duties under the direction of senio
  • Providing evidence-based care for patients in a multi-disciplinary
  • Conducting suitable duties in cases of emergencies and unforeseen circumstances
  • All staff in each Directorate are managerially accountable through their Lead Clinician to the Clinical Director, who has overall responsibility for the services within the Directorate. Work in partnership with colleagues in other Directorates within the Trust
