The Royal Free Hospital Intensive Care Department is looking for a motivated Senior Clinical Fellow. This post would be ideal for a candidate wishing to gain experience in Intensive care medicine and the recognition and management of the critically ill patient. You will be well supported by our dedicated team of ICU Consultants. The department handles a high throughput of patients, with total annual admissions in excess of 2,800. Senior medical cover is provided by a large team of consultants offering 24-hour cover in blocks to provide continuity of care.
Post-Graduate education is a key priority in the department, with over 100 resident doctors rotating through ICU each year. There is a dedicated teaching programme delivering ICU teaching weekly on a broad range of topics, ICU Radiology teaching and ICU Journal Club. The RFH ICU treats over 2,800 patients a year; there is a large consultant body and team of resident doctors. The Royal Free Hospital Intensive Care Department is seeking a motivated Senior Clinical Fellow. Candidates should have at least two years of accredited core medical or anaesthetic training to CT2 level or equivalent, and should have passed MRCP or Primary FRCA. An interest in medical education and prior experience in intensive care medicine is essential. The post is suitable for ICM or Anaesthetic Trainees taking time out of programme, post-CCT Trainees developing ICU experience, or doctors considering a standalone senior clinical fellow post. Out-of-programme experience requires agreement with the relevant Specialty Training Committee and Deanery.
