Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, skilled Senior Clinical Fellow to join our Respiratory Department at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (LTHTR).

The successful applicants will work closely as part of a dynamic Respiratory team. The department provides Tertiary Respiratory services in Interventional Bronchology, Ventilation, Asthma, and ILD to Lancashire and South Cumbria.

The post supports the development of either early middle-grade trainees pursuing a career in respiratory medicine or Post CCT trainees seeking to develop skills in regional services.

Duties of the Post:

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Trust provides specialised commissioned respiratory services for Lancashire and South Cumbria, supporting our local DGH population.

The Senior Clinical Fellow posts support clinical and academic development for trainees in respiratory medicine and their chosen subspecialty. Duties include middle-grade inpatient care, subspecialty clinics, general thoracic clinics, undergraduate medical education, and supported research time.

The Trust is undergoing a significant transformation project, and SCFs will be involved in delivering acute care through the Respiratory Assessment Unit and supporting consultant-led weekend inpatient ward rounds.
