A leading NHS trust in the UK is seeking a dedicated medical professional for the Evelina Children's Hospital to manage PICU patients. The role includes teaching and training responsibilities, engagement in clinical governance, and participation in full-shift rotas. Successful candidates will have completed relevant PICM training and must meet UK residency requirements. This position offers a dynamic work environment dedicated to high-quality patient care and staff development.
The post will be based at the Evelina Children's Hospital and involves managing PICU patients under the supervision of the Chief PICU Fellow and Consultant on Duty. The role may require work across additional locations owned or served by the trust as the service demands.
The Paediatric Intensive Care Unit has 23 beds and admits approximately 1,200 general and cardiac patients each year. The South Thames Retrieval Service operates from within the PICU and receives over 1,750 requests annually and retrieves about 950 patients.
