A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time fixed-term Senior Clinical Fellow to join our Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.

We are looking for dynamic team players who wish to gain additional clinical or research experience in OMFS to either prepare for specialty training or to gain subspecialty experience prior to a consultant role.

UHCW is one of the UK's leading teaching hospitals, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and facilities. It hosts Warwick Medical School, offering opportunities in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research.

The successful candidate will mainly work at UHCW, with possible outpatient activities at Hospital of St Cross, Rugby, Warwick Hospital, or George Eliot Hospital, Nuneaton. Clinical duties include:

  1. Providing comprehensive surgical services in collaboration with the Maxillofacial team to the Trust, Primary Care Trusts, and GPs.
  2. Participating in the maxillofacial on-call rota to ensure emergency services outside normal hours.
  3. Offering consultation and advice to colleagues in other specialties and primary care when on-call.
  4. Building collaborative relationships with medical colleagues across specialties and engaging in clinical meetings and postgraduate activities.
  5. Supervising and developing trainee doctors within the specialty.
  6. Understanding Clinical Governance, Risk Management, and Clinical Audit.
