Detailed job description and main responsibilitiesA proposed job plan is outlined in the Job Description.The weekly job plan will include 1-2 flexible sessions where the clinical fellow will contribute to the general rota. This is in line with all the other clinical fellow posts to ensure the smooth running of the department.
Person specificationQualifications and TrainingEssential criteria- Full registration the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligible for full registration if applying from abroad MRCOG or equivalent qualification Up to date adult and neonatal resuscitation training CCT
Desirable criteria- Evidence of publication in field of maternal medicine ATSM in maternal medicine/ advanced antenatal practice and advanced labour ward MOET course or equivalent
ExperienceEssential criteria- Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for ST6-7 level Previous experience in maternal medicine and high risk obstetrics Experience in delivering care in a high risk delivery suite Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
Desirable criteria- Demonstrate a range of ideas for further research within specialist areas Evidence of developing evidence based services in obstetrics eg audit, guidelines or service development.
SkillsEssential criteria- Able to function at ST6-7 level on delivery suite Able to perform acute gynaecology procedures ( diagnostic laparoscopy, laparoscopic salpingectomy, SSM)
Desirable criteria- Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience.
