The postholder should have an interest in gaining further knowledge and experience in managing patients with thrombosis and acquired bleeding disorders. There is an opportunity to engage in research to improve management of patients with thrombotic, autoimmune, and acquired bleeding disorders. As a team member, cross-cover for colleagues on leave may be required. Responsible for training and supervising junior staff under an agreed training plan with the supervising consultant.
Teaching:
Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching as appropriate.
The Haematology, Oncology, and Support Services at Guy's and St Thomas' include specialized teams, each led by Clinical Leads. The Clinical Lead for Haemostasis and Thrombosis is Dr Pu-Lin Luo. The department is headed by Co-Clinical Directors, Dr Susan Robinson and Dr Karen Breen.

The Thrombosis and Thrombophilia team is expanding due to increasing referrals. The team manages complex thrombotic cases, provides advisory services, and runs clinics for different patient groups, including pregnant women with thrombophilia and antiphospholipid syndrome. The team includes experienced clinicians, nurses, and research staff, collaborating closely with surgical and medical colleagues.
