Job description
Senior Clinical Fellow in Stroke Medicine

The stroke ward at GUH has 15 HASU beds. The HASU is supported by extra nursing staff and therapists and there is a daily consultant ward round 7 days a week including bank holidays. The stroke patients are admitted to the stroke ward from A&E where they stay for 3 days and then are moved to a less acute/rehabilitation centre (Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr). The appointee will be based at ward B4, GUH and may require to cover YYF, if requested.

Main duties of the job

The expectation of the role is to provide junior grade support as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a 15 bedded sub-speciality ward. The post holder will participate in consultant led ward rounds as part of the MDT and part of a consultant led front end team.
