This post is based in the Department of Paediatric Trauma and Orthopaedics. The Department provides elective orthopaedic and emergency limb trauma care to the local population and the wider East of England region.

We provide both general and specialist orthopaedic and trauma care. Specialist services include a dedicated Ponseti clinic, specialist neuromuscular and spina bifida clinics, limb deformity correction and a DDH clinic. There are close links with the adult trauma and orthopaedic team.

These posts are particularly suited to those wishing to gain experience in Paediatric Trauma and Orthopaedics including elective and fracture clinics, elective operating sessions and inpatient care.

Successful applicants are encouraged to undertake quality improvement projects.

Please note that this post does not carry Postgraduate Dean’s approval or training recognition.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at point of application is required.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.

Applications from job seekers who require skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.
