Job Summary

Applications are invited for the position of Senior Clinical Fellow (ST3+ equivalent) in Older Adult Medicine from forward-thinking individuals. The posts provide structured training and support in gaining the skills and competencies needed to progress your career in Older Adult Medicine.

The post holder will be working with a team of Consultants, Specialist Trainees, Clinical Fellows, Core Trainees and Foundation Year Trainees, across 64 acute inpatient beds and 20 rehabilitation beds at the New Cross site. The post holder will work with the consultant team in the other services provided by the Older Adults Medicine directorate. These include Ortho-geriatrics, Dementia and Delirium In-reach, Front door Frailty, Community Geriatrics, and Perioperative medicine services.

The post holder will have opportunities to attend outpatient clinics, including Falls, Frailty, Cognition and movement disorders. The Older Adult Medicine team would support the post holder in relevant Quality Improvement and Research projects as they arise.

Main duties of the job

This post is advertised to seek applicants from candidates who wish to gain experience within Older Adult Medicine providing working with a team of Consultants, Specialist Trainees, Clinical Fellows, Core Trainees and Foundation Year Trainees, across 64 acute inpatient beds and 20 rehabilitation beds at the New Cross site. Candidates will have more than 3 years of post-qualification experience, MRCP or equivalent qualifications or full-time research experience.
