Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic, and well-motivated doctor to join our busy unit with an interest in developing gynaecological oncology skills and aptitude.

Role and Responsibilities

The appointee will be expected to participate fully in the department with opportunities to attend Gynaecological Oncology specialist clinics and gain additional skills while working closely with the gynaecological oncology team. These opportunities include:

1. Rapid access clinics
2. Priority gynaecology clinics
3. Transvaginal scan
4. Outpatient hysteroscopy clinic
5. Colposcopy clinic
6. Vulval clinics
7. Theatre sessions with the oncology team
8. Leading gynaecology MDT
9. Audit and research opportunities

The appointment is a full-time, permanent post.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants should have MBBS, MRCOG Part 3 completed, and be registered with the GMC, with significant NHS experience.

Training and Work Schedule

The successful candidate will participate in a 1:8 full shift rota, providing cover for both Obstetrics and Gynaecology in a three-tier system. The night on-call team comprises an SHO, two registrars, and a Consultant, with the Consultant resident from 0800 to 2200 to support high-quality care and training.
