Senior Clinical Fellow in Interventional

Royal Brompton Hospital, a world-renowned specialist center for heart and lung disease, is seeking an experienced and motivated Interventional Senior Clinical Fellow to join our dynamic cardiology team. This fellowship offers an exceptional opportunity to work within a leading tertiary cardiac center, renowned for pioneering complex interventional cardiology procedures.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality patient care, performing advanced interventional procedures, and contributing to clinical research and education. This position is ideal for a cardiologist seeking to develop subspecialist expertise in complex coronary, structural, and valvular interventions, while working alongside some of the most skilled clinical teams in the UK.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a broad range of advanced interventional cardiology procedures, including coronary angioplasty, structural heart interventions, and device implantations.
  • Manage acute and elective cardiac patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including cardiac surgeons, imaging specialists, and allied health professionals.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of clinical protocols and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Engage in clinical research projects and contribute to academic publications.
  • Provide teaching and supervision for junior medical staff and trainees.
