Our ICU handles over 2800 patients annually. Senior medical cover is provided by a team of consultants offering 24-hour coverage in shifts to ensure continuity of care.

Applicants should have at least two years of accredited core medical or anaesthetic training at the level of CT2 or equivalent, have passed the MRCP or Primary FRCA, and demonstrate an interest in medical education. A minimum of 3 months experience in intensive care medicine is essential.

This post is suitable for:

  • Post CCT Trainees seeking to develop experience in clinical education

Candidates considering an out-of-programme experience should obtain approval from the relevant Specialty Training Committee and Deanery.

The position is for 12 months starting August 2025, based at the Royal Free Hospital. It involves a split clinical and non-clinical role within the ICU. We support study towards a Post-Graduate qualification in Education, as postgraduate education is a departmental priority, with over 100 resident doctors rotating annually.
