A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow in General Medicine to support ward operations and outpatient clinics in Sheffield. Sheffield Teaching Hospitals is seeking to appoint a Senior Clinical Fellow in General Medicine (IMT3/ST3+ equivalent) beginning as soon as possible but no later than 1 November 2025. This post will be until August 2026. This post does not attract a National Training Number. This post is not recognised as a 'training posts'. Full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise is required by the date of application. If the appointee does not hold right of residence in the UK sponsorship will be required.
The duties of this post are equivalent to IMT3/ST3+ level. Successful completion of MRCP is essential and experience at IMT3/equivalent is preferred. Clinical experience in a substantive post in the NHS (excluding any periods of Clinical unpaid experience) is also essential. This post involves providing senior ward support for Huntsman 7 ward (General Internal Medicine), with occasional cover for other GIM wards. Outpatient clinic in respiratory medicine and other areas (depending on clinical experience and interest) is expected. Any further vacancies that arise at this grade during this advert will be considered for recruitment.
The ST3-level clinical duties will include in-patient duties as part of a team managing patients admitted under general medicine consultants. This will include providing support to junior colleagues. There will be the opportunity to attend out-patient clinics in one of the specialties depending on interest; successful candidates may have the opportunity to be involved with specialist referrals.
