This role involves working within a dynamic environment with responsibilities including regulated activity with adults, as defined by the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act, with checks such as enhanced barred list checks undertaken following a conditional offer. Applicants must hold or be eligible for full GMC registration and a license to practice.
Training access covers various medical specialties and accredited courses, under supervision of RCP trainers. The Board supports career progression towards MRCP(UK) and CESR, with a strong track record of high MRCP pass rates and dedicated training funds. Audit and QI projects are also part of the role, with support from a research lead based at Cardiff University. All posts include a resident on-call component, with additional banding payments for participation.
