Job Description:

We've been assigned by one of the best performing teaching NHS Hospital in the UK to help them recruit a Senior Clinical Fellow in Anaesthetics on either a Substantive or a 12 month NHS Fixed Term basis.

Our client is one of the UK's largest and busiest teaching Trusts with a turnover of £1 billion, 1.5 million patient contacts a year and more than 15,000 staff based across the area. This hospital has six main theatres and six day case theatres, providing perioperative care for general surgery, urology, gynaecology, ENT, breast, orthopaedics and trauma, ophthalmology and bariatric surgery. Additionally, two theatres are dedicated to obstetric patients and a new Endoscopy building is currently under construction to house two theatres for the provision of general Anaesthesia for endoscopy procedures.

Within this role, the successful appointee will join a team of 29 Consultants, 6 associate specialists, and 12 CT and SPR anaesthetists on a rotational training programme. They will be asked to fulfil various duties such as providing perioperative care for patients undergoing a wide variety of both elective and emergency surgeries, supporting the resident on-call rotas covering either general emergencies or the labour ward, and participating in the educational and training programmes within the department and hospital.
