A healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a doctor to manage emergency patients and supervise resident doctors. The role involves daily ward rounds and providing general medical care. Initial resuscitation and management of all emergency patients presenting to the department
Initiation of the initial investigation of patients and the referral to the relevant on call specialist team when indicated
Supervision and support to foundation and core training resident doctors
Management and leadership of the acute medical take and hospital cardiac arrest team
Main duties of the job
Daily ward rounds
Both inpatient and outpatient management of patients
Provide general medical care within the department in close co-operation with colleagues and other specialties
Attend clinics and endoscopy lists for training and service
Participate in the department's teaching, audit and educational activities
