Job description

We have been assigned by one of the UK's prestigious NHS Trusts to assist in recruiting a Senior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine on either a Substantive or NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Medicine department.

About the Trust

Our client is one of the largest NHS organisations in the UK, serving approximately 472,400 people in Wales. They focus on promoting health and well-being, providing primary care services, running health centres, community health teams, and hospitals. They aim to deliver care as close to home as possible, ensuring safety and effectiveness. They also offer specialist services across South and Mid Wales, serving a regional and sub-regional population of 2.5 million, including services such as cardiology, neurology, neurosurgery, and more. On-site services include 24/7 PCI, stroke thrombolysis, trauma, general medicine, and paediatrics.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Provide emergency medicine services to designated hospitals, including prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of accidents and emergencies.
  2. Manage patient care and ensure the department functions properly according to operational policies.
  3. Supervise and manage junior medical staff.
  4. Participate in rota duties to ensure emergency unit coverage.
  5. Engage in teaching activities for undergraduates, nursing staff, and postgraduate trainees.
  6. Assist with Clinical Governance and Audit duties.

  • 10 PAs.
