Main duties of the job
HIV SERVICES
HIV outpatient services are based at the Caldecot Centre; separate but close to the main Denmark Hill site. Dedicated inpatient beds are located in the Hambledon Wing of King's College Hospital on Oliver ward. Currently there are approximately 3000 patients under regular follow up. We also operate HIV outpatient clinics in three local GP practices: in Vauxhall, Clapham and Gypsy Hill and HMP Brixton.
SEXUAL HEALTH SERVICES
As part of a major Modernisation Initiative in Sexual Health services at King's, the departments of Genito-Urinary Medicine and Reproductive & Sexual health fully integrated in January 2009 to support the provision of a one-stop holistic Sexual Health service (providing contraception and management of sexually transmitted infections) to the local population.
The Sexual Health service provides open-access walk-in services to men & women from the Camberwell Sexual Health Centre (CSHC) and sees approximately 34,000 attendances per year.
Specialist GUM, MSM clinic, complex contraception, psychosexual and erectile dysfunction clinics are run from the Caldecot Centre by appointment.

You must be fully registered with the GMC and hold a Licence to Practice and have equivalent experience and competencies relevant for the role.
The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable adults and/or children (0-18 years), therefore this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
