A prominent healthcare provider in Scotland seeks a doctor for a 6-month fixed term post in General Internal Medicine at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Candidates should be in their 4th to 5th year of training and possess GMC registration. This role offers an opportunity for skill development in a dynamic environment, with contributions required in both daytime and on-call duties.

This is a fixed term post for 6 months working 40 hours per week on full shifts.
The post will be for 6 months and will be based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Applications are invited for the above post in General Internal Medicine, based in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH), Glasgow. This post will commence in Aug 2025. This post is not part of the National recruitment process for Specialty Training in Acute Internal Medicine and is not recognised for training by NHS Education for Scotland.
The post will provide an opportunity for ongoing development of skills and experience in General Internal Medicine for 6 months. This post is aimed at doctors who have completed 4 - 5 years of training and are considering a career in General Internal Medicine, an acute medical speciality, or Intensive Care Medicine.
To practice medicine in the UK you need to hold both GMC registration and a license to practice.
The successful applicant will take a full part in the Medical Senior daytime and on-call rota (50% rota banding).
