A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow in Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine. This role offers the opportunity to develop a special interest in perioperative care, focusing on high-risk surgical patients and enhancing skills in various medical areas. The position is ideal for those seeking advanced training and experience in a dynamic environment.
Applications are invited for the Senior Clinical Fellow position in Anaesthesia & Perioperative Medicine, starting on 5th August 2025 for 6 months, extendable to 12 months, subject to satisfactory internal review. The fellow posts join an existing pool of trainees participating in a comprehensive ST3+ training program in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine.
This position aims to enable successful candidates to develop a special interest in Perioperative Medicine, focusing on assessment of high-risk surgical patients, anaesthesia for major surgery, and preoperative assessment including weekly MDT meetings. Opportunities will be available to develop skills in quality improvement, research, teaching, and training. Successful applicants will be encouraged to complete the Advanced training module in Perioperative Medicine in accordance with RCOA guidance. The post would suit individuals seeking a CT3 equivalent (Stage 1 'top up') post, Out of Programme for Experience (OOPE), or post-CCT experience.
Applicants should have at least 2 years' experience in Anaesthesia at CT 1-2 level or above. Ideally, this includes at least 12 months in the UK and a minimum of 3 months working in Intensive Care.
