Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester is seeking a Clinical Technologist for the Clinical Engineering Department. You will repair, calibrate and maintain a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment across Leicester sites, performing preventative maintenance, safety testing and acceptance testing with high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified to Degree/HNC level, or equivalent, in Electrical/Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Able to prioritise and manage own work; work with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repair, calibration and maintenance of medical equipment.
• Perform safety testing and acceptance testing on equipment.
• Maintain accurate technical records and comply with quality systems.
• Collaborate with clinical users to schedule servicing and interpret problems.
• Lead or supervise junior staff and trainees as required.
