Job summary
Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is inviting applications for a Specialist Technologist to join the Technical team at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, supervising a fleet of specialist medical equipment including anaesthetic machines, ventilators and ultrasound. The role requires a strong engineering/clinical background and leadership to drive high standards of maintenance and performance improvement.
The post holder will lead a team, ensure continued lifecycle management, and support the Trust
Qualifications
- Very significant experience supervising a medical equipment maintenance, service and repair function.
- Expertise in current medical equipment safety standards.
- Experience with advanced test equipment to calibrate high-spec equipment (ultrasound, anaesthetic, ICU life-support).
Responsibilities
- Supervise Clinical Engineering Technical Service team at Stoke Mandeville Hospital site.
- Oversee lifecycle management of the medical equipment fleet.
- Ensure quality and safety of the service; manage stock of parts and tools.
- Lead service improvements and staff development.
