A healthcare organization in Dorchester is seeking an experienced Clinical Engineer to manage and maintain medical devices. The role offers opportunities for strategic decision making and leadership within the Clinical Engineering service. Candidates should have NHS experience at Band 5+, with a focus on device commissioning and adherence to MHRA regulations. This position supports NHS values and patient care, with a potential transfer to a wholly owned subsidiary by 2025.
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Engineer with at least several years at Band 5 or above in the NHS to join the team at Dorset County Hospital. We will prioritise candidates with such experience over those with formal academic qualifications; however, we are willing to consider those with less experience for initial appointment at Band 5.
This post is part of the Clinical Engineering service that Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust may transfer to an NHS ‘wholly owned subsidiary’; the proposed date of transfer is in October 2025. The wholly owned subsidiary will continue to offer NHS Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions to current employees who transfer in October as well as to new employees recruited after that date. This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing, expanding organisation with a strong commitment to NHS values and putting patients first.
