Job summary

Athona Limited is recruiting experienced Band 6 Senior Clinical Advisors to join NHS 111 Integrated Urgent Care in Barking. This locum opportunity offers flexible shifts, ongoing work, and the chance to work in a fast-paced clinical assessment environment.

As a Senior Clinical Advisor you will perform remote clinical assessments, use NHS Pathways and MTS, mentor staff, escalate high-risk cases, and contribute to governance and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Current NMC or HCPC registration.
• CPD evidence and ongoing professional development.
• Experience in NHS 111/OOH is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Delivering remote telephone clinical assessments and triage.
• Assessing patients using NHS Pathways, MTS and clinical judgement.
• Mentoring Clinical Advisors and frontline staff.
• Escalating high-risk cases appropriately.
• Contributing to governance, audits and service improvement initiatives.
• Maintaining high standards of patient care.
